Is Music Really In The Genes?

Today I read an article “Genes help hit the right note in musical score” from the ABC, about the potential genetics that affect detection and interpretation of sound (as published in the Molecular Psychiatry Journal)

It is worth a read for those interested in the nature/nurture argument of musical skill acquisition. This may also add a whole new dimension to the It Takes Two Generations post a few months ago.
